Hello! Welcome to my wikispace! My name is Charlotte Hamon. My husband is David, I have a son, Garrett (22), and four step-sons: Hayden (19), Hudson (14), Hunter (13), and Harrison (11). I recently found out that I will be a grandma in December! My son, Garrett, and his wife, Joy, are expecting a baby boy. We also have two other "boys" in our home, Dez and Max, our dogs. Dez, our Great Dane, is somewhat of a celebrity in our neighborhood. He is the largest dog in our neighborhood and has also appeared on Channel 9 news, so we are very proud of him. Max, my black and white Shih-Tzu, is my baby and is never too far away from me. We are all huge Oklahoma State University fans, with the exception of Hudson, who loves UT.

I grew up in the South, and part of my heart will always be there. My family moved to Jay, Oklahoma when I was in 8th grade, and I graduated there in 1981. My family still lives in the area, including my parents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Many of my family members are, or have been, involved in the field of education.
I attended college at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas for three years. I loved it and was a cheerleader there; however, my senior year I transferred to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, so I would have the opportunity to do my student teaching in Oklahoma. I graduated from NSU in 1985. In 2009, I obtained my master's degree from OSU in Education Leadership Studies with an emphasis in administration, and shortly thereafter passed my tests to become certified to be an elementary or middle school principal. David, my husband, has two degrees from OSU. He is a C.P.A. and is an internal auditor for Devon Energy.

I have 21 years of teaching experience, and this is my fourth year at Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School in Oklahoma City. I am currently teaching 6th grade math/ honors math. I love it here!
